It is scratchy initially, but you should send it through the wash to soften it up. There was a small hole near the top of the zipper, but not a critical failure because that can be fixed with a needle and thread. Biggest concerns: this liner is BULKY, it packs down the same size as my warm weather sleeping bag (10x7), and the matching stuff-sack really is matching, it's wool. You may want to replace it with a waterproof pvc or nylon stuff-sack. By itself, the liner is comfortable down to 60F, BUT thats an estimate. In combination with a bag it makes the bag maybe 10 degrees warmer.
